HOW IT ALL BEGAN

The Tailors Lounge started with a simple idea: tailoring should feel human.

After years spent in custom menswear, our founders saw both sides of the industry - the craftsmanship done well, and the experiences that had become rushed, transactional, or intimidating. What was missing wasn't skill. It was care.

So we set out to create something different. A place where precision meets personality. Where men can feel guided, not overwhelmed. And where confidence is built through experience - not ego.

The place became The Lounge.

Dylan leads with deep client understanding, tailoring expertise, and calm, confidence-led guidance, shaping each experience around fit, feel and individuality.

Michael brings structure, operational clarity, and performance discipline ensuting consistency, quality control, and a seamless process behind the scenes.

Together, they combine craft, styling expertise, and human connection with systems, precision, and accountability. The result is an experience that feels personal, considered, and effortless, without compromising on standards.

Having known each other since childhood, their partnership is built on trust, shared values, and a long-standing respect for discipline and commitment. With a mutual passion for fitness and sport, they bring the same consistency, focus, and drive for excellence into every aspect of the business.

Dylan Marshall

Co-Founder & Director

Dylan has spent over a decade immersed in the world of custom tailoring, not just learning the craft, but refining the experience around it.

With more than 12 years of hands-on experience, he's worked closely with men across professional, wedding and occasion wear, developing a sharp eye for fit, proportion and balance, and an even sharper understanding of how a suit should feel when it's worn. Comfort, confidence and presence always comes first.

What sets Dylan apart is his approach. He believes tailoring shouldn't feel intimidation or overcomplicated. Every appointment is guided, considered and genuinely enjoyable, built around listening first, asking the right questions, and making the process feel effortless from start to finish.

His deep knowledge of cloth, fabric performance and seasonal dressing allows him to guide clients toward pieces that not only look refined but work seamlessly with their lifestyle. From everyday professional wardrobes to milestone moments, Dylan's focus is always on longevity, appropriateness and confidence.

Known for clear, calm guidance and honest advice, Dylan removes uncertainty from the process and replaces it with trust. He values open communication, reliability and follow-through, and takes pride in building long-term relationships, not one-off transactions.

Michael Payne

Co-Founder & Director

Michael is the operations brain behind The Tailors Lounge, bringing structure, standarads, and sharp attention to detail across every part of the client experience. With a strong background in systems, service delivery and tailoring environments, he ensures the process runs smoothly while the craft stays uncompromising.

He's deeply involved in fit consistency, garment refinement and quality control, with a practical focus on how tailoring moves, wears, and performs in real life (not just under showroom lights). Michael also brings a strong working knowledge of fabrics, construction and finishing, helping the team make recommendations that balance comfort, durability and long-term value.

Calm, disciplined and quietly relentless about quality, he holds the bar high while still leading with support, clarity and care. He's also highly fluent in metrics and reporting, using data to monitor performance, improve systems, and keep standards rising over time.
